Girls only--seriously?

How old be you the first time you went to the gynecologist>?
Did it hurt?
I don't use tampons and I've never have sex and I'm really nervous just about going for my first time--I don't want it to hurt--
Any suggestions? I was twelve, and it didn't hurt.
(Somebody give me a thumbs down for that? I WAS twelve, and it DIDN'T hurt. Deal with it.)
My suggestion is to relax. Tell the doctor that you are somewhat nervous and ask them to explain what they are doing.
When I have first gone I was 20, I be not having sex at the time, but I did wear tampons.
It doesn't hurt, it is freshly a little humiliated. The biggest this to remember is to relax. The more relaxed you are, the more confortable it will be. Good luck and don't worry!
I'm have this same problem myself.
Me and my boyfriend are starting to talk around it now, and i'm 17, nearly 18.
I've never used tampons or have sex either, but i've hear that it's uncomfortable the first time. And hurts for a time bit.
And to be honest, i would suggest that you wait until you're 100% in place, because if you're not ready it will hurt even more because your vagina (=/) won't be lubricated ample, and will hurt you.
So just keep on it out.

going to the gynecologist will be self-conscious and a little bit cold. but its a immensely important section of womens health. Millions of women enjoy them every year. If it was that discouraging none of us would bother.
