Had pap smear, giant white blood cell count found?

I had a pap smear done and my doctor said I might enjoy an infection, but she wasn't totally sure of what it could be. What else could be wrong? A high white blood cell count is almost other an indication of an infection, nothing else. I hope you're going posterior in to your doctor to own a culture done. That's the only process to know for sure, and you'll get your results within a couple of days.
You should also ask to have a vaginal gram stain perform (which can be done on the same swab they bring back for the culture). A culture will only indicate what sorts of live microbes you have growing, but beside bacterial vaginosis, you can actually be wanting the good microbes, and that won't show up on a culture, but it will with a gram stain.
You will promising need some sort of antibiotics, but you really should own a culture done first. There are two main types of germs (gram positive and gram negative), and individul antibiotics will work on one or the other. If your culture comes back positive, a sensitivites will be perform to find out which antibiotic is going to work best for you.
